Dr. Kurt R. Stein, DC
Dr. Kurt R. Stein, DC, grew up in Middleton, Wisconsin. Always active in athletics, he injured his knee during competition, as a member of a Select Soccer team. After the injury, ski jumping became his sport of choice. As a member of the U.S. Ski Team he competed on the World Cup circuit for eight years, including participating in the Albertville and Lillehamer Olympic Games and six World Championships.
Ski jumping is not without its risks. In fact, it was a ski jumping accident that brought him face-to-face with a major life decision: he could learn to cope with chronic pain from the injury, pain that he might have for the rest of his life, or he could do something about it.
He chose action, and he chose a chiropractor. The rest is history… With that chiropractor’s expert care and guidance Kurt Stein was able to relieve his nerve pain. He was able to restore his low back to its pre-injury normal. He was able to ski competitively again.
Chiropractic adjustments, stretching, and rehabilitation. Because he concentrated on these three components, Kurt Stein was able to get his life back to normal. And then some. Because he was injured, and because his recovery came full circle thanks to a chiropractor, Kurt Stein made another major choice. He decided to become a chiropractor himself.
Dr. Stein received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin—LaCrosse, with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then continued on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned his Doctorate degree, excelling in the clinical aspect of health care. While at Palmer, Dr. Stein taught classes to other students and doctors, utilizing the Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, and Sports Injury Club chiropractic techniques. Dr. Stein was also a top student intern with Dr. Mitchell Mally, who is an internationally recognized authority on the treatment of extremities. Dr. Stein continues to work closely with Dr. Mally in areas of chiropractic advancement.
For over ten years Dr. Stein has been helping people adopt or regain a more active lifestyle. He serves people from all walks of life, and has treated patients of all ages, including a newborn just two weeks old and seniors over 100.
